Videos and Audios In the Lesson

Modest3D supports mp3, ogg and wav formats for audios and mov, dv, wmv, mp4, asf, avi, webm, vp8, m4v, mpg and ogv formats for videos. You can make the lesson much more vivid and flexible by introducing such resources.

Importing Videos and Audios

Applying Videos

  • Step into the setup node

  • Right click and choose the Video in UI group

  • Click the Video that newly added to the Setup node and make sure the Properties tab is active. You can also change the name for the item in the Properties tab

  • Drag the video asset from Assets tab to the VideoAsset slot in the Properties tab

  • Switch back to the main Storyboarder, right click and type the video name in the search box. Click the item name that you just created in the Setup node

  • A video node should be added to the Storyboarder now. Click on the bottom of the node then choose Play

  • In this case we add a WaitForAnyClick node to wait while the video is playing. Simulate and play the lesson, you will get a video playing in the scene

Applying Audio

  • Drag the audio asset from the Assets tab to the Storyboarder

  • An audio node should be added to the Storyboarder now. Click on the bottom of the node then choose Play

  • Connect the newly added node to the Setup node. Simulate and play the lesson
    • You can use a Fork node to excute another stream while playing the audio
